Usually, this is when they trip on something because everyone knows clumsy kids = funny.
But, more often than not, and maybe more than I certainly deserve, I get an 'awwww' moment.
This is one of them.
My office is moving and to prepare for the move we needed to start packing up all our personal shit. This means that I had to pull down the 56 or so drawings and pictures I have of my kids that have curled up from being here for 5 years and try to put them in a box that wouldn't crush them.
One of these things was the big manilla piece of paper with a duck drawn on it that you see up top there. The duck was made from my daughter's foot that she dipped in paint.
This explains the 'yellow bigfoot' I tirelessly searched for in my backyard for 3 weeks back in 2007.
Regardless, as I pulled it down from the wall, I realized it actually opened. Inside was the following piece of paper from my daughter.
I don't know exactly WHEN this was done, but I'm guessing it's circa '07/'08 when she was probably around 8 years old.
Even though you're short and have glasses..
You're...the #1 dad in the universe.
I also love the fact that she decides to write that the thing we have in common is that we both like those break-n-bake cookies.
Truer words never spoken.
Those things are awesome.
Just like my kids.
