So the Spanish teacher that I mentioned in my earlier blog topped herself today.
Apparently, she corrected a child who said, "I have three fish" by saying, "No..no...it's 'I have three FISHES'..."
This was after she told the kids to spell the word "Ombrella". Of course, all the kids spelled it the way she said it: "O...M....B...."
(induce uncontrollable head shaking here)
These are some of the people teaching our kids.
And we wonder why half of them can't figure out why they dress themselves looking like retarded people who haven't figured out where their hips actually start...and that hats are actually supposed to keep the sun out of your EYES...not your ears.
Have a good, phonetically correct, weekend.

Cool site, when I get away from work I'll drop by again.
M and all the O's...
You're so right. It's supposed to be three fishies, not fishes... as in "three little fishies swimming in the sea". Even I know that.
You speak the truth. It MAY be the lack of body language, voice tone and everything else that the Internet restricts, but you do sound like a BIT of a dick when you say certain things. Meh, maybe it's just your words in text. I get the same thing with emails.
Either way, good post.
You've answered my question, "is our children learning?"
Only in America.
this makes me want to wear my pants low, put my hat on backwards, and get out my ombrella to prepare for the rain.
oh, and if you think you are REALLY my soulmate, you should read the midget wrestling post:
